A little something ♪ over the rainbow ♫

After work, my mom and I rushed down to Lebreton Flats to see a free concert featuring Nikki Yanofsky and Time for Three. It was FANTASTIC! I absolutely loved Nikki, she's so talented and wonderful. In between songs she'd talk a bit about herself, try to speak in french and was ever so cute. I love that she's so down-to-earth and easy going. She is so gorgeous and so lucky to be dressed by DSquared, I absolutely loved her outfit tonight which was a black sequin dress. Though I do find that she wears way too much black for a 16 year old.... When she sang I Believe, it was wonderful! Even better than the recording, she's just so talented, I wish her the best of luck in the future!!

Here's a video about her from CNN, she's amazing and I'm proud to say that she is a CANADIAN!!! =)

And here is her FIRST ever music video, and at the concert tonight, she said that the director had given her casting papers to choose the guy in the video, (she made a great choice ;P ) but sadly she said that he arrived on set... with his GF.

The Pow Wow

Hey guys! Sorry for not blogging in so long! Here are some pictures of aboriginal dancers. They performed at Parliament Hill on Rally Day for GGC. It was super cold that day, and it totally didn't help with my current cold, but non the less, it was extremely interesting. More pictures are to come.

.......?!?!?!?!?!?!

this is the most asked question on the internet when you type in why in google:

WHY CAN'T I OWN A CANADIAN????
REALLY?! is that what you people google? let's see what they say...
some stuff about god, slavery and biblical reasons.

My answer:
CAUSE WE'RE NOT FOR SALE!!!!

who the hell asks these questions???

and why are canadians afraid of the dark? hmm....i don't think we are, well some of us, lol, but wtf kind of question is that?!
just, GTFO. this is ridiculous yet hilarious.

O Canada

So here's the latest pointless waste of money the government is planning on spending:
Changing ONE line in O Canada.

Instead of:
♪ In all our son's command ♪

they want:
♪ In all doust commands ♪ (or something like that, they wanted to replace sons with doust, that's all I know)

just because they think it doesn't "symbolize" everyone.
To be honest I don't give a Flying F*** about it because it is our anthem. It's classic and it shouldn't be changed!!!
They can shove this idea (along with all their other bad ones) up their butts and go away.
We take pride in our anthem, why change it?
