Salty Goodness

Ever gone swimming and left to pool with a cholrine scent that just doesn't go away?
Solution to this problem, go to a salt water pool.

Today I went to the salt water pool at The Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa and it was AMAZING! It's a bit pricey but well worth it. For just $15 (its an all day thing) you have access to the gym, the outdoor pool, the indoor pool, the indoor hot tub, the special hot tub in the change room, and the sauna. The salty water relaxed my muscles and I was floating along in bliss. I was only there for 2-3 hours today but I can't wait to spend a whole day there :)

A 5 on the Richter Scale

Holy Crap, there was an EARTHQUAKE!
in ottawa
a 5 on the richter scale...not very common for an earthquake of such magnitude, to grace our valley.

Luckly there have been no reports of serious injuries.

The epicenter of the quake was 65km north of here.
The quake was felt as far as Boston and New York.

LIKE WOAH! Crazy shit!
I was in a car, so I had no idea that there was even an earthquake. I was walking home and I saw all these people out on the streets, I was like, are these people ALL on lunch break or something, isn't it kinda late?
Went home, saw my brother picking up glass, realized it was my stainglass stuff, and I was just like holy shit! did you break it...nope he didn't, it was an earthquake.

went upstairs, room was a DISASTER!
drawers were shaken open, pictures fell down, figures on the floor......
portfolios scattered across the carpet. Yikes! just not pretty.
Now the job of cleaning my room is going to be even more tedious :(    *sigh*

bluesfest anyone?

So I have never really been that interested or aware of some of Ottawa's festivities (you would think I would be after 6 years here)... until now.  So Bluesfest will be back this July, and I must say, the lineup of acts looks pretty fantastic.  Among some of the eye-catching performers are: Down With Webster (love times a billion), Steve Winwood (don't bother asking fatima, she hates people from the 80s), Matthew Good, Santana!!!, Rush, Weezer, Drake, Crowded House................................
the list just goes on and on, I cannot wait. (!!!!)

July 6-18th, BE THERE!! <3
