We are now into the quarter finals!
Intense matches today. Japan versus Paraguay and Spain vs. Portugal.
Paraguay and Spain will be advancing into the Quarter Finals.
Japan lost in a shoot out and Spain won with a 1-0 match against Portugal.
Christiano Rinaldo has not been playing his best sadly, and it really doesn't matter any more considering that he's going home with Portugal now. Fatima's probably jumping up and down in excitement over Argentina seeing as they are playing on July 3rd.

SRB Banquet!
So tonight was the annual SRB Band Banquet! Me and Chels went all out with the glitz and glam for the special occasion. The theme was masquerade but only a couple of devoted people showed up in the theme attire. The food was delicious, including: a Caesar salad with garlic bread, three types of pizza and two types of pasta! I have a new love for the Italians since they make great food! I hope they come second in FIFA, first obviously belonging to Argentina! After an ice cream dessert, entertainment, a slideshow and awards, the main event began: the dance! The music was pumping and every one was pumping their fists to the sky. The lights were amazing and the smoke machine wasn't over done either. Looking forward to waking up to watch Argentina play Nigeria! Adios!

Unbelievable!
FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa started today, and I just learned that the locals are NOT (I repeat NOT) allowed to make a profit out of any of the tourism regarding FIFA! That is so unfair! We're talking about a third world country here people!!!! My mom was telling me about how the locals who make these cake patties to sell on the streets have been banned from selling their source of income to help support their families. And it goes on... the sponsors are the only ones making a profit out of the whole World Cup! I mean, come on, McDicks? Really, they cause more deaths than benefits, not to mention they make enough money in a day than anyone could ever make. These families are all underprivileged and I'm sure some little boy or girl would love to be playing soccer if their parents could afford it. But the lack of money made from the major tourism brought in by the FIFA World Cup makes the situation even harder. The FIFA officials have cut off a major part of these families income, and it just isn't fair! These people probably walk miles just for water, and with the little extra money they can make from selling at this grand tourist attraction, a little south african boy or girl could be getting an education!
Support locals!
