C: My BCBG leggings/pants, my purple paint splatter flats from Joe's and royal blue long cardigan from Clavin Klein.
F: My worn out, yellow sweater, my faded blue jeans and my red belt.

If you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see?
C: Oh man! So hard!!!! Blue? I really don't know, being an art student, I can't justify which colour I'd chose :(
F: I would say yellow because then I could paint and see the sun which would make my days a little better.

C: Um.....I've always had this thing for broad shoulders on guys... Ideal man: creative and atheletic, good sense of humor and adventurous :)

so how about that prom.....
well, in case you guys had forgotten, seeing as we have failed to have any updates in last few months... STP PROM IS TONIGHT!!!!
I pretty much have everything ready to go, ride, dress, accessories (can't believe earrings went in my ears after a year or more...), hair, nails, shaving (ughh), etc.
Now I just need to figure out after prom, but I really just want this to a fantastic night filled with great memories and hundreds of pics to remember them by. There's barely a month left of school and I think it's time that people put their differences aside and get along, and forgive and forget.
I love all of my friends, and hopefully, they feel the same way.
so after tonight, be sure to expect posts galore on the aftermath!!

Today is a good day :)
Wow, so it has been ages since I blogged, and i know char already apologized.
So the weather has been GORGEOUS for the past week, and I have finished all of my research papers and the powerpoint presentation I have due tomorrow!!
It is such a good feeling to hand in a paper, knowing you can put it out of your mind forever (well, a few weeks at least).
And coming up in the following days (yes, days!!):
Grad Retreat: Friday
Victoria Day: Monday
Prom: Friday, May 28th (aka, no school cause no one shows up)
first week of June, random week of whatever
week of CPT's etc.
Grad Rehearsal & Brunch: Thursday, June 10th
Exams: Monday, June 14th - Monday, June 21st
Graduation Ceremony: Thursday, June 24th!!!!
and then.... that's it! no more high school. I actually think I may cry now. I have no idea what to feel, it's so damn close, but it feels like grade 9 started just yesterday.
And then, I'm off to Guelph, and Char and Fatima are staying in good old Ottawa. For now...
But no matter what, we will always be best friends.

WUNDAHHHHLANDDD 2010 = Best shit ever.
Okay, so as you may or may not have known, ever since last October or November, CFM has been waiting and waiting for May 6th and 7th to come. Why is that?? Because those two days were when we hopped on a coach bus and headed for t-dot, followed by a day at WONDERLANDDDDD!
So I already mentioned what was on the itinerary, and although I was not looking that forward to the Science Centre, it was amazing!! Fatima and I kinda got separated from the group early on, but we found some really cool exhibits, including a simulated rainforest, a fish sanctuary and what it felt like to be a bird. And then there was the exhibit all about life systems and birth. And I'm talking like life size sturctures of the baby being born, and little vials with the various stages of embryo growth. And then we ran into this crazy scienctist guy who showed us an epic card trick.
Then there was square one mall, where i picked up some clothes, flats, and an awesome fruit-inspired necklace. But I got lost when it was time to meet up with the group to go to playdium, so everyone was royally PO-ed, but it blew over eventually. Playdium was well, fantastic, although DDR was an epic fail. Then there was the hotel, swimming, a botched designer clothes sale, and staying up until 130 just talking and being goofs.
WUNDAHLAND was amazing!!! Especially seeing as I started my day off with Behemoth, and ended it with Flight Deck (formerly known as Top Gun). Didn't feel so hot on the ride home but it was worth getting to satisfy my roller-coaster adrenaline high. And surprise surprise, somehow I managed to gain another tv show out of this trip (GLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE), but I'm not complaining.
So it was a fantastic trip, with fantastic friends and a billion pictures to remember it by.

Who here hates Justin Bieber? HEY!!! I should see everyone nod in agreement ...*glares* at the one person who isn't nodding.
sadly, Bieber is Canadian, ain't that shame to our name (look I can rhyme just like he does =P)
First time I saw him, i thought he was girl! hey, don't judge me, it was on MOD and I was like.. who the heck is that? a girl.. a guy.. a shemale?! and when they said Justin, I thought they had made a mistake and it should of been Justine. But discovered as a youtube sensation? what do you youtubers have against watching other things? why BIEBER??? Why not the guy who blows things up, or sticks things in the microwave, why not just watch ice melt??? that would be sooo much better, even more enjoyable and exciting. Not to mention that your ear drums would stay intact :)

the school high school band and dance troop will be performing
art pieces and photographs will also be on display.
a BBQ will be going in the quad for anyone who's hungry.

10... ten... dix... the big One O... however you want to say it, there's only 10 more weeks of high school left!
To be honest, I'm kinda relieved knowing that I'll never have to sit through class again and say: "why?" cuz all classes I'll be taking in Uni will be well worth it (hopefully *cross my fingers*).
6 weeks till prom :) woot!!! uber excited for that wonderful night coming up, but I think I'll look a little close at the dance coming up... basically... I should just make a calendar right?

April 29 - Masquarade semi formal @ Crown Plaza
May 6 & 7 - WONDERLAND!!!

June 17 - last day of classes (I think...)

THIS will definitly just fly by!!!! and before long, we'll be throwing our own hats in the air yelling:

That is: melissa's makeover. so i just happened to run into these 2 fabby stylist type people, oh and they also happen to be my besties. as of yesterday, it has been permanently decided that i need a wardrobe makeover... among other things.
So to help me get on the right track with my look, char decided she would fulfill her long-time desire to straighten my hair. let's just say I had a blast sitting there for half an hour, meanwhile char and fatima were dead to the world and discovered a new cardio workout. I warned her. :)
Then they did my makeup, followed by an hour of power shopping at college square, where i found 3 pieces of clothing that i am going back to get tomorrow. And hopefully many more things.

Why yesterday was the best-day EVER!
So I got to miss school for a badminton tournament only to get fisted by the racket by crazy asians! Yeah we got that owned up! So after that we had an AMAZING baby shower for my fave teacher Ms. Marin! Her reaction was priceless and the food was great. The festivities didn't stop there when I decided to inhale some helium! The laughs were never ending! Me and mel then went to kanata centrum where I bought an explosion of headbands for $10 ! We then watched the movie The Crazies which literally made me want to vomit with all the suspense. Best part of the movie was when the guy was able to stab the crazy lady WITH THE KNIFE LODGED IN HIS HAND! Soooooooooooo sick! Like he pulled up the knife which was stuck in the floor with his hand when the knife was still in it! So it was 10:00 and I thought my parents would be mad about me being out late and taking the bus at night but my mom was already asleep and my dad gave me a leftover brownie from his work.
BEST DAY EVER? I think so :)

Baby Shower!!!
Most of you probably have NO idea what i'm talking about, but Mrs. Marin is curretnly preggo and leaving next week so we (Fatima, Melissa, Tammy, Julia and I) threw the bestest ever shower on short notice!!!
Mr. Moise was kind enough to join us when he came looking for his wife (who was at the part-ay!) and ate our food, but washed all our dishes =) (take notes boys, this is a good example)
We had MOUNTAINS of food to feed, something like, what, 7 people?
SO bad idea to bring a slice of cake into the band room during a band practice, and realize that Mr. Thomas isn't there.....band kids are WOLVES!!!
Scary! They followed us all the way back to the Home Ec room just to have a nibble of ice cream cake. (who wouldn't? I would)
We ended up having a left over platter of veggies and crackers and cheese,
Took it to the band room
Came back less then ten minutes later
ALL GONE!!!! O.o
Scary kids.....
Fatima...well you could probably guess what happened, but I'm sure Melissa will want to do it =D
all I have to say is: FRED!
and Fatima...MAY have lost a few IQ points...just saying

So shopping was tres fun and exciting, because I actually found 2 extremely potential prom dresses. The first was this pure silk, strapless, fuschia dress, that fit really well except that the bust was too small. i guess i should be happy about that? and then we ate at La Pointe seafood restaurant, and our waiter was really nice, but quite creeperish. i mean, he kinda stared fatima down, and kept giving us the eye in general. then we went to a billion other places, and i found like 5 realllyyy cute summer dresses, but guess what? no, they werent too expensive or anything, its just this thing called my hips, and they are like gigantico, so i couldnt get most of the dresses over them. and there were a billion cute skinny jeans i would have bought in a minute... if they didnt cost $250 a pair.
As for LaSenza, yes, we kinda got bras and panties, but so what?? Some of us were in desperate need of one or the other. And they were some damn good purchases. Oh, and I kind of kidnapped the creepy stuffed animals char and fatima were naming while chatting on my cell cause I thought they were cool. And looked much better with me.

The origins of the dumb bear
Okay, so charlotte basically covered all the goings on today... so i figured I would just fill in some rough patches.
So we went into this cool knick knack store, and there was like gemstone mania going on, so i thought i would find some amethyst stuff since my birthday is in february. and i find this ginormous piece of amethyst that looks like it has been ripped from a cave (it was kind of from brazil anyways) and so i was touching it in awe, when fatima and charlotte tell me to stop touching it. i respond "no man, it's not like its against the law or something", and thats when they point to a sign directly in front of my face that says "DO NOT TOUCH; NE TOUCHEZ PAS".
So uh, yeah, i was kinda like, "well, it's all good, now it has melissa all over it" and charlotte and fatima were not feeling the same sentiment.
So we left that place pretty fast and walk through this sketchy alleyway, where i was being mocked for being silly, at which point i started growling like a bear cause i was also hungry, so i stated "grrrr, im a BEARRRR!" and fatima is like, "shut up, you dumb bear"
end of story.
