So MAJOR CONFUSION should be the proper title of this book, and no, it is not the same as the movie.

So there's a girl Mimi, who's dad is an artist, who has cheated on multiple women.
Jay is a guy who lives in a house in the middle of nowhere in Ontario.
Mimi's dad, Marc, says she can go stay in a house in the middle of nowhere in Ontario.
Mimi is being stalked by an unstable guy named Lazar, who is a professor at NYU where Mimi studies.
Mimi meets Jay, they will soon be living with each other, and they have "entertained" thoughts of each other.
The house at which they stay in  being creeped by some dude.
This dude leaves: dead birds, snake skin, and records his breathing in Jay's sound studio. Oh, and he shoots a video of Mimi changing with her video camera and leaves it for her to see.
Mimi and Jay turn out to be siblings... whoooboy.
Lazar ends up in Halifax.
Jay is dating Iris, who the creepy dude thinks Jay is cheating on with Mimi.
Mr. Peters is an old man living down the street who is creeping as well.
Mr. Peters is perverted and would like sexual favours from Mimi.
Yet the creepy dude's mother is NUTS and creepy dude is: Cramer.
Cramer is in love with Mimi, and they both have "entertained" thoughts of each other as well.
Mother shoots her son, while aiming at Mimi, shoots at Jay, kills herself.
Cramer is Jay and Mimi's brother.
