devastating.

Ok, so this really disturbed me when I saw it flashing across the bottom of my msn messenger screen... a trainer was apparently killed today at SeaWorld by one of the orca whales while doing a show.  40 year-old Dawn Brancheau, who had been working at the park since February 1994 had just finished explaining what the show was going to be about to the audience, and then the whale came up behind her and started thrashing around, and swimming around the tank with her in its mouth.  Visitors in the underwater viewing area saw extremely disturbing images, and those memories will probably never fade. 

When paramedics arrived, they were unable to revive her.  SeaWorld has been closed since, and all the visitors were evacuated immediately.  No further action has been discussed.

So yeah, just some news of the day, very tragic. =(
